Marika Reitsema Ball acts as a legal middleman in helping clients

Jones & Keller would like to welcome Marika Rietsema Ball as an associate to the firm. Marika acts as a “legal middleman” between a client’s ideas and the final product that achieves the client’s goals in business practice areas, including securities, finance and general business matters. Her analysis of statutory impact and the attendant language needed for clear and unequivocal contracts helps secure client interests in complex legal matters.

Marika is a 2018 graduate of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she received her J.D. and a certificate in Corporate and Commercial Law. Prior to joining Jones & Keller, Marika clerked for Senn Visciano Canges P.C., representing small businesses and commercial real estate enterprises in transaction matters. As a student attorney, Marika performed similar work for the Sturm College of Law Community Economic Development Clinic in Denver. While in law school, Marika interned with the legal departments at Molson Coors Brewing Company and Xcel Energy Inc.

“We are excited to have a driven, young attorney join our firm, bringing fresh perspectives to business law,” Brad Hamilton, shareholder at Jones & Keller and mentor, says. With Marika’s hire, Jones & Keller continues its legal mentorship program meant to help new hires successfully integrate into their role and navigate the legal profession with confidence.
