Jones & Keller is pleased to announce that Howard Kenison has been named to Lawdragon’s inaugural “500 Environmental and Energy Lawyers” guide. Lawdragon studied legal leaders across the nation over the past two years before issuing this first guide to the leading U.S. lawyers in environment and energy law.
“The 500 lawyers recognized here represent the evolution of environmental law, from the early days of preserving the earth to today’s environmental justice leaders, leading the opposition to continued siting of environmentally toxic and otherwise heavy projects in minority and poor communities,” the publication wrote.

As a former Colorado Deputy Attorney General, Howard brings vast legal and practical knowledge to complex environmental law and litigation. He represents clients before state and federal courts and administrative agencies, driving forward solutions that balance economic and environmental interests and achieve client objectives. Howard’s environmental practice includes transactional due diligence; air quality, waste facility, superfund, natural resource damage, insurance and NEPA litigation; environmental audits; and, wetlands and water quality permitting and defense.
Howard is currently serving as the Chair for the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Environment Energy and Resources.
