Howard Kenison and Blaine Bengtson at Jones & Keller reprised their author roles in the latest edition of Environmental Regulation of Colorado Real Property, where they write a chapter highlighting federal and Colorado environmental regulation requirements for the CBA/CLE.
The Colorado Bar Association-Continuing Legal Education (CBA/CLE) released the “Environmental Regulation of Colorado Real Property, Third Edition.” Written by environmental law specialists, the book is a legal reference for identifying environmental issues affecting the purchase and sale of real property and minimizing or eliminating potential environmental liabilities.
Howard Kenison and Blaine Bengtson at Jones & Keller reprised their author role from the first two editions to write the third edition chapter on “Reporting Releases of Contaminants.” The chapter covers federal and Colorado release and spill reporting requirements that attorneys may need to address as part of real estate transactions or as a result of the operations of client facilities.

Blaine Bengtson is an associate attorney in the litigation group of Jones & Keller, P.C. His practice focuses on civil litigation, including matters involving environmental compliance and enforcement, judicial review of agency actions, and complex commercial and securities-related disputes. Blaine’s experience representing clients in matters involving state and federal environmental laws includes NEPA, CERCLA, RCRA, and the Clean Air Act.
