The 2021 Legislative Session resulted in several bills that were adopted by the legislature that directly relate to the trust and estate practice of law, including HB21-1004: Colorado Uniform Electronic Wills Act; SB 21-162: Colorado Uniform Trust Code Part 5; SB 21-171: Uniform Fiduciary Income and Principal Act; and SB 21-195: Notarization of Certain Probate Documents. Presented by Dylan H. Metzner, Esq., Jones & Keller, P.C. Dylan is a member of the Private Wealth & Estates practice at Jones & Keller, P.C. Dylan’s practice includes estate, tax and business succession planning; representing fiduciaries with respect to trust or estate administration matters; and representing fiduciaries (both professional and individual) or beneficiaries in trust or estate litigation matters. Presented by Jamie J. Roth, Esq., Trust & Estate Advocates LLP. Jamie Roth is the managing attorney for Trust & Estate Advocates, LLP’s Glenwood Springs Office. Jamie graduated from the University of Colorado, School of Law and has an LLM in tax law from New York University. Jamie teaches continuing legal education programs for the Colorado Bar Association/CLE including the Advanced Estate Planning Symposium, the Trust and Estate Planning Retreat, and Estate Administration Basic Skills. Jamie prepares the quarterly case law update for the Trust & Estate Section of the Colorado Bar Association, and is active with the section. Jamie is a contributing author of the Senior Law Handbook. Jamie is a past President of the Ninth Judicial District Bar Association, and a member of the Colorado Attorney Disciplinary Hearing Board.
