Al Sahlstrom
ASSOCIATE

Al is an experienced litigator and trial advocate whose practice focuses on representing businesses and individuals in complex commercial and general civil litigation.

A graduate of Harvard Law School, Al has first-chaired over 40 trials, and he has repeatedly secured wins on his cases through both written briefs and effective courtroom advocacy.

His experience includes successfully litigating cases involving breach of contract, negligence, construction defects, government investigations, and business disputes.

Experience

Prior to joining Jones & Keller, Al worked as a criminal prosecutor in Pueblo, Colorado, where he was recognized for his victim advocacy, and he successfully prosecuted crimes ranging from sex crimes and child abuse, to domestic violence and felony assault. Through Al’s pro bono practice, he has helped underprivileged members of our community navigate the legal system and has fought for and successfully won immigration rulings granting political asylum. He has worked as a litigator at another Denver firm, and he has litigated factually complex federal cases as an attorney at the Denver office of a national non-profit legal advocacy organization.

While in law school, Al served as an editor for the Harvard Journal on Legislation and the Harvard Environmental Law Review, he clerked for a U.S. House of Representatives committee’s investigative staff, and he taught as an instructor at Boston College.
